The Good Thief

"The Good Thief" is the first of a series of critically acclaimed Christian historical novels by Barry Connolly set in the First Century A.D. These stories profile the faith and struggles of the first followers of Jesus Christ, even before they were known as "Christians" but simply believers in "The Way" of Jesus and his teachings.

In "The Good Thief" we meet DIsmas, the man who will be crucified alongside Jesus on Good Friday, forgiven by Jesus and promised Paradise.  In "On the Road to Damascus" we experience the persecution visited upon the first followers of Jesus. In "Serah" we are introduced to a young Christian girl coming of age in the Rome of Emperor Claudius.

These exciting and inspirational stories are based closely on actual events and the life and times of the Christian era. Biblical events and quotations are from the New Revised Standard Version of the Holy Bible.
